About the Cannabis Control Board

The Cannabis Control Board (CCB) is the office of the EBCI tribal government responsible for regulation of the marijuana industry and hemp sales on Tribal lands. The CCB issues licenses for marijuana businesses and hemp stores, agent cards for the individuals managing and working in marijuana businesses, and patient cards for individuals with certain health conditions. Cherokee Code Chapters 17 and 17A govern the marijuana and hemp industries, including the authority and responsibilities of the CCB. The CCB issues administrative regulations to carry out the duties delegated to it by Tribal law.
